Oxipres

In addition to the rancimat (OSI) equipment that Vitablend is already using to benchmark the performance of antioxidants in homogeneous matrices (typically liquid oils and fats), Vitablend recently invested in a brand new Mikrolab Oxipres. The Oxipres broadens the range of analysable matrices, since in contrast to a rancimat; it can also be used with solid and complex inhomogeneous matrices such as meats, bakery products, feeds and cosmetics. The antioxidant performance analysis on complex matrices is performed without the need for a labour intensive fat extraction, this is advantageous since antioxidant loss and unwanted fat degradation is reduced because of minimal sample preparation.
