Since first established in 2001 Vitablend has become a World-leading specialist manufacturer of nutritional premixes, micro-encapsulated ingredients, antioxidants, and food concept premixes. With its head office in the Netherlands, and as a part of the Global Barentz Group, Vitablend products serve the Human Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, Personal Care, and Pharma markets globally.

Vitablend USA, established in 2018, is now enjoying enormous success and is seeking to recruit a new position of Sales Director. This will be a highly exciting and challenging role in developing the sales of our successful antioxidants within the region.

Together with a dedicated technical support team located in the USA facility, the Sales Director will be responsible for the antioxidant budget sales, their development, and the growth of our business with our channel partners and Key Accounts.


Job task and responsibilities.

  • Create, manage and deliver the Vitablend North American Antioxidant budget.
  • Formulate the yearly sales plan to direct business activity with clear set objectives and priorities to the Business Unit strategy.
  • Build and develop relations and business opportunities with new and existing strategic accounts.
  • Structure the Vitablend USA antioxidant product range according to market needs.
  • Manage and drive the business development, sales, and technical support to strategy with North American channel partners.
  • Lead and manage complex projects, either directly with customers or with channel partners.
  • Drive the local new product development team in close cooperation with the Business Unit strategy and to introduce new successful product developments.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of a yearly marketing plan with regard to specific applications and key accounts.
  • To support and optimize the positioning of the company and its’ products within the region.
  • To be the ambassador of Vitablend antioxidant expertise in North America and to build the network with the local Barentz teams in order to promote Vitablend systems.
  • To be pro-active in the development of product, competitors, and market knowledge and share this information within the business unit in order to maintain the consistent market and customer approach.

Job competencies and requirements

  • A minimum 5 years’ experience of successful technical sales within the food and feed sectors.
  • Experience with antioxidants and / or within the oils and nutritional markets would be a preference.
  • Minimum education to Master degree level in food or science related background.
  • Technically competent and with the capacity and experience to manage complex projects.
  • A creative and entrepreneurial ability with a problem solving aptitude.
  • Demonstration of a high sales achievement.
  • Excellent communicative, management and team player skills.
  • Other languages such as Spanish would be an advantage.
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven attitude with a proactive and flexible capability in a fast moving commercial environment.
  • Although USA based with the travel this requires, infrequent travel can be expected into Europe for head office functions on occasion.
